Medium carbon ultra-high strength steel with alloy element content less than 5%. quenching plus low temperature tempering or isothermal quenching are often used to obtain tempering martensite or bainite structure. Its strength mainly increases with the increase of carbon content, but the fracture toughness decreases with the increase of carbon content. From the perspective of comprehensive properties, 0.27% -0.5% of carbon content is more used. Adding appropriate alloy elements is mainly used to improve hardenabilhy and tempering resistance.
