碳含量很低的具有良好软磁性能工业纯铁。铁的纯度一般为99.5%-99.8%,碳含量小于0.01%，杂质总含量小于0.5%。电磁纯铁的主要特点是饱和磁感应强度高，矫顽力较低,最大磁导率较高;同时还具有资源丰富、价廉和机械加工性好等优点，但也存在电阻率低、易产生磁时效等缺点。
