Also called electrophoretic paint, electrodeposited coating. Under the action of DC electric field, the resin binder in the paint is charged and moves towards the electrode with opposite charge (electrophoresis), loses charge on the electrode and deposits on the electrode (electrodeposition) to form a coatings film. When the film forming material of resin is anionic resin, it is anionic electrodeposition coating, also called anode electrodeposited coating; Conversely, it is called cationic electrodeposition coating, also called cathodic electrodeposited coating.
