The degree of deoxidation is between killed steel and rimmed steel, that is, steel that has undergone moderate deoxidation treatment before pouring to keep the molten steel boiling during solidification. Therefore, many properties and characteristics of semi-killed steel, such as purity of ingot, composition segregation, ingot yield, impact toughness, cold stamping performance, weld performance, etc. The surface quality of steel ingots is better than that of killed steel ingots.
