Explanation

A crystal substance consisting of more than two single crystal of the same or different species. Each single crystal is combined through grain boundary. The crystallographic orientation of each single crystal is mostly arbitrary, and under special conditions, it can also have a preferred orientation. The former no longer has the unique anisotropic characteristics of crystals, while the latter can exhibit inherent directionality to varying degrees.
