A cellular structure in or within a crystal. The typical cellular crystal are honeycombed in space, their longitudinal sections are strip or plate, and their transverse sections are network. The cellular crystal is caused by the regular protrusion of the unstable interface of the crystal during its growth. The crystallographic orientation of cellular crystal grains is consistent, and the cellular interface is rich in alloy components or impurities that can reduce the melting point.
