Also known as aramid. It refers to the synthetic fiber with more than 85% aromatic amide chain in its molecular structure. It can be divided into four categories. The first type is the fully aligned aromatic polyamide fiber, which is generally prepared by liquid crystal spinning; The second type is para aramide copolymer fiber added with the third copolymer component, which is prepared by wet spinning and hot stretching at high temperature. These two types of fibers belong to high-strength and high modulus special synthetic fiber, and the third type is full meta aromatic polyamide fiber; The fourth type is meta aromatic amide copolymer fibers containing copolymer components and methyl substituents. The latter two types of fibers are high temperature resistant special synthetic fiber, which are prepared by dry or wet spinning. The four major types of fibers are mainly used in the application fields that require high strength and high modulus at room temperature and high temperature and that require high temperature and heat resistance and aging and have certain flame retardancy requirements.
