Explanation
Refers to minerals that do not have metallic or semi metallic luster, are colorless or light colored, and are transparent or semi transparent under a 0.03mm thick sheet. Including the vast majority of oxygen-containing salt minerals as well as some oxide and halide minerals. In the industrial field, it is synonymous with "industrial mineral".
