Explanation
The irreversible shrinkage of fibers when they come into contact with boiling water. The difference in length between fibers before and after boiling water treatment and the percentage of length before treatment is called boiling water shrinkage. Under a certain pre tension, measure a certain length of fiber (L0) and treat it with damp heat (boiling water at 100 ℃) for a certain period of time; Measure the length L1 of the contracted fibers.
