The phenomenon of compound decomposition due to radiation. When water and organics are used as reactor coolant, moderator or shielding materials, mdidysis will occur. The factors affecting the reaction rate, reverse reaction rate and the concentration of mdidysis products include the radiation dose, radiation type, temperature, solute morphology and concentration, etc. Some impurity ions will accelerate mdidysis. In order to inhibit the mdidysis of water, a small amount of hydrogen can be added in advance, or the coolant can be continuously purified.
