Its full name is Buckminster fullerene, also known as carbon 60. It is a perfectly symmetrical structure composed of 60 carbon atoms with a truncated icosahedron shaped like a football. In this structure, 60 carbon atoms are located at the 60 vertices of this cross-sectional body, while 32 faces are composed of 20 hexahedra and 12 pentahedra, each of which is not adjacent. In this cage structure, carbon atoms have no hanging bonds.
