Explanation
A type of ultrabasic intrusive rock. The chemical composition is characterized by SiO2<45%, the average content of main oxides is: SiO2 42.3%, Al2O3 4.23%, Fe2O3+FeO 10.19%, CaO 5.06%, MgO 31.24%, K2O+Na2O 0.83%, and the content of iron oxide is higher than other types of magmatic rocks. The main mineral components are olivine and pyroxene.
