The main equipment of modern ironmaking production is a round shaft furnace with steel plate as furnace shell and refractory brick lining inside. The blast furnace body is divided into five parts from top to bottom: throat, stack, waist, bosh and hearth. The charging equipment is arranged above the furnace throat, and the tuyere is evenly arranged along the circumference of the upper part of the hearth. Below the tuyere plane, there are slag outlets and tapping holes. The main technical indicators of blast furnace include: effective volume of blast furnace, utilization coefficient of blast furnace, smelting strength, coke ratio and fuel ratio, flooding ratio, blowing out rate, first generation furnace age, etc. At present, the effective volume of the world's largest blast furnace is more than 5000m3, and the first generation furnace life can reach more than 10 years.
