Explanation

The alcohol soluble phenolic resin prepared by condensation of formaldehyde and phenol under the action of acid catalyst or alkaline catalyst will generate linear thermoplastic resin with formaldehyde in the presence of acidic medium when phenol is excessive, and thermosetting resin will be generated by reaction of phenol and formaldehyde under alkaline condition when formaldehyde is excessive. Mainly used as laminates, composite materials, foamed plastics, thermal insulation materials, honeycomb structural materials, coatings and adhesive.
