Explanation
High alloy tool steel for high-speed metal cutting. In principle, it belongs to alloy tool steel, but in many cases it is classified as a class of tool steel because of its special properties and uses. high speed steel has a very high red hardness. When the cutting temperature is up to about 600C, the hardness still does not drop significantly, so it can use a higher cutting speed than low alloy cutting tool steel, hence the name. Generally, it can be divided into tungsten system and molybdenum system. Sometimes, high vanadium high speed steel, cobalt high speed steel and super-hard high speed steel are added to form five types. In recent years, powder high speed steel has also been widely used.
