power density refers to the maximum power output by the battery divided by the mass or volume of the whole battery system, in W/kg or W/cm3. The specific power density describes the ability of the battery to emit greater energy in a moment. For example, if the specific energy of a battery is not too high, but it can emit greater energy in a short time, the specific power density of the battery will be greater.
