It changes the direction, intensity, and phase of light through refraction, reflection, and transmission, so that it can transmit according to predetermined requirements. optical materials can be divided into five categories: optical glass, optical crystal, optical plastics, optical coating and optical fiber. Each optical materials has a specific transmissivity and optical dispersion, so it is applied to different optical elements in various optical instruments and devices.
