Explanation
The delay composition with silicon powder as the main combustible agent has a high burning rate and is the first micro smoke composition used. It has the advantages of good performance, easy availability of raw materials, low price and wide use. The basic components of silicon type delay composition are silicon and lead tetroxide (lead lead lead). Silicon is a combustible agent and lead lead lead is a oxidizer. Antimony sulfide is usually added as a burning rate regulator, which is mostly used in millisecond delay detonators.
