Explanation
A rock mainly composed of silica. The main mineral components are authigenic quartze, chalcedony and opal, sometimes with a small amount of carbonate, iron oxide, glauconite, clay mineral, etc. Amorphous aphanitic texture or biological structure, thin layer and nodule structure.
