Explanation
The eight elements of gold (Au), silver (Ag), platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd), rhodium (Rh), iridium (Ir), ruthenium (Ru) and osmium (Os) are collectively referred to as precious metals, among which platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium and osmium are also referred to as platinum group metals.
