Explanation
Also known as punctate segregation, it is a low magnification defect that often occurs in large superalloy ingots produced by electric slag remelting or vacuum consumable remelting. The distribution of black or light gray spots on the transverse macrostructure is at the center of the alloy ingot l/2R.
