Explanation
Also called quantum umnel effect. It refers to the phenomenon where a micro particle still has a certain probability of passing through a potential barrier when its energy is lower than the height of the barrier. It is a quantum property of microscopic particles, which cannot be explained in the view of classical mechanics, but must be explained in the theory of quantum mechanics.
