Explanation
A device that converts chemical energy directly into electrical energy. It is mainly composed of positive pole, negative pole and electrolyte. separator is usually placed between positive pole and negative pole to prevent internal short circuit. The electromotive force comes from the change of free energy of the chemical reaction of the battery. At a certain temperature, it depends on the nature of the electrode and the activity of the electrolyte.
