Also known as plastic fluid. One of non-Newtonian fluid. When the shear stress is less than the yield stress, the fluid cannot flow. When the shear stress is greater than the yield stress, the fluid begins to flow and the viscosity remains a certain value of a non-Newtonian fluid. The substances that belong to this flow behavior include mud, toothpaste, pitch and coatings.
