The steel grades that add a small amount of other elements on the basis of high speed steel matrix composition and appropriately increase or decrease the carbon content to adapt to some special purposes are called matrix steel. matrix steel has the same high hardness and strength as high speed steel, but also has better toughness and fatigue strength than high speed steel because there is no large amount of carbide.
