Explanation
When the electrons in the materials are excited and jump to a higher level, the materials changes from the ground state to the excited state. The electron with higher energy in the excited state has a certain binding relationship with a hole in the materials. This higher energy electron and the hole six with which it is bound constitute the so-called exciton.
