Explanation
Compounds whose atoms are bound by covalent bond. It is assumed that when atoms are composed of molecules, they contain unpaired electrons before they are combined. If the spin of the electrons is opposite, they can couple to form an electron pair, thus forming a covalent bond. valence bond compound can be divided into four categories: normal valence bond compound, multi anion or multi cation compounds (general valence bond compound), tetrahedral structure compounds and defective tetrahedral structure compounds.
