Explanation
It is usually expressed by the average molecular weight of the chain between two adjacent crosslinking points. The greater the crosslinking density, the smaller. Or it can be expressed as the density of crosslinking point. The density of crosslinking point is defined as the number of crosslinking points per unit volume. The degree of crosslinking can be estimated by measuring the swelling degree and mechanical properties.
