Also called sulfurization induction period, the time required for early vulcanization of rubber during processing is an important evaluation parameter to measure processing safety. Since rubber has heat accumulation effect, the actual scorching time includes two parts: operation scorching time and remaining scorching time. Operation scorching time refers to the scorching time consumed due to the heat accumulation effect during the processing of rubber. It depends on the processing conditions (such as mixing, hot mixing, calendering, pressing out, etc. of rubber) and the processing degree (such as mixing time, number of returnings, etc.); The remaining scorching time refers to the part of time that the rubber material maintains flow ability when heated in the model. The length of scorching time mainly depends on the vulcanization system in the formula, especially the type and amount of accelerator.
