Abbreviated as PBT fiber. It is a kind of polyester fiber. The poly (butylene terephthalate) produced by the condensation of terephthalic acid or dimethyl terephthalate vinegar with 1,4-butanediol is melt spun. PBT has a lower melting point than PET, so the processing window is larger and the processability is better. Its resilience and dye uptake are also better than that of PET fiber. Under the constant elongation of<10%, the elasticity recovery of the fiber can reach 100%. It is mainly used to make clothes with elasticity, such as body-building clothes, swimming suits and bandages for medical applications; It can also be used to make imitation wool fabrics and carpets.
