Also known as polysulfide propellant, it is the first modern composition solid propellant based on chemical crosslinking, using partially polymerization liquid rubber (ethyl formaldehyde polysulfide rubber or butyl formaldehyde polysulfide rubber) as adhesive. After adding solid fillers such as oxidizer (such as ammonium perchlorate), reducing agent (such as aluminium powder) and assimilating agent (such as lead dioxide), the casting process is adopted for molding, which has the advantages of simple manufacturing process, low price and good long-term storage.
