In the production of man-made fiber, spinnability refers to the deformation ability of spinning fluid to withstand stable stretching operation, that is, the ability of spinning fluid to form slender filaments under the effect of stretching, which is essentially a rheological problem of uniaxial elongationai flow. It is a necessary condition for fiber forming polymer, but not the only condition. In textile processing, spinnability refers to the difficulty of fiber spinning and the comprehensive performance of the resulting yarn.
