It is suitable for making tool steel for deformation processing of steel and other metal alloy at room temperature (i.e. not contacting with hot metal) (such as the following material die, blanking die, bending die, shear die, cold heading die, cold extrusion die, etc.). cold working die steel is required to have high hardness and wear resistance, high strength and fatigue strength, sufficient toughness, and good process performance. Such as forging, machinability, hardenabilhy, hardenability, etc., and heat treatment deformation is small to ensure the dimensional accuracy of the mold. Non alloy tool steel such as T10A and T12A can be used to make small dies with simple shape and small bearing capacity, as well as cold heading dies requiring a small depth of hardening layer; alloy tool steel is used to make large and medium-sized molds with complex shapes and large loads.
