Explanation
During the nucleation and growth of the precipitation phase, the diffusion caused by the composition gradient in the matrix continuously reduces the solute concentration in the supersaturated solid solution until it reaches saturation, and the precipitation process stops. The crystal structure and orientation of the solid solution remain unchanged, but the composition changes from supersaturation to saturation.
