It is a substance mainly used for oral bonding and filling matrix. The powder is mainly composed of treated zinc oxide. 10% magnesium oxide is added to promote hydration reaction and improve the strength of materials. A small amount of silicon dioxide, bismuth oxide, chloride, etc. can also be added to improve the performance of materials. The liquid agent is an aqueous solution of orthophosphate, with a small amount of aluminum phosphate or zinc phosphate added as a buffer. The solidified cement is composed of an insoluble zinc phosphate matrix that accounts for 25% of the entire solidified body, bonded with unreacted zinc oxide, magnesium oxide particles, and soluble zinc dihydrogen phosphate as a reaction intermediate. When zinc phosphate cernent undergoes solidification reaction, it emits heat and is accompanied by volume shrinkage. Its linear shrinkage rate is 0.05% -0.1%. It has a pH of 2-3 and appears slightly acidic after a few hours, with moderate irritation to the dental pulp. Zinc phosphate water montin is soluble in saliva and mechanically bonded to teeth. The 24h compressive strength is 80-120MPa, and the tensile strength is 4-8MPa. However, the final mechanical strength is related to the proportion of powder and liquid when mixed. The setting time is affected by the particle size of powder and the water content of liquid. It is commonly used for the bonding and temporary filling of prosthesis and orthodontic accessories, as well as the base lining under the filling body.
