Explanation

As used steel with martensite structure, but generally refers to alloy steel with martensite structure immediately obtained by air cooling after heating and austenitizing, such as martensitic stainless steel, martensitic heat resistant steel, high speed steel, etc. In order to obtain martensite structure under air cooling condition, steel is required to contain a large number of alloy elements to improve hardenabilhy, so martensitic steel is high alloy steel. Martensite structure has high hardness and strength, and is widely used to make various high-strength parts.
