Also known as ferrosilicomanganese, iron, manganese and silicon composition ferroalloy is used as deoxidizer or alloy element additive, with the usual manganese content of 62% -68%, silicon content of 16% -27%, and carbon content of 0.5% -2.5%. ferrosilicomanganese is produced by continuous smelting of manganese oxide and silicon dioxide in manganese ore (including manganese rich slag) and silicon ore simultaneously reduced by carbon in submerged arc furnace. ferrosilicomanganese is a commonly used composition deoxidizer and alloy additive for steelmaking, as well as the main raw material for the production of medium and low carbon ferromanganese and the reducing agent for the production of metallic manganese by silicothermic method. GB/T 4008-2008 has clear regulations on the grades and chemical composition of manganese silicon alloys, and each grade is divided into three levels based on the content of impurity element phosphorus.
