Explanation
Sulfate minerals with complex island like structures containing additional anions. The crystal is small pseudo cube or pseudo rhombohedron; Aggregates are in the form of granules, fibers, blocks, soil, or nodules. Grayish white or reddish white, white streaks, transparent to translucent, glass luster. Moderate cleavage {0001}. Shell like fracture. Mohs hardness 3.4-4.0, brittle, density 2.6-2.8g/cm3. It is mainly produced in intermediate acid volcanic eject rock, which is the product of low-temperature hydrothermal alteration of intermediate acid volcanic rock, and coexists with quartze, kadinite, etc. It is raw mineral material for alum, potash fertilizer, sulfuric acid and aluminum extraction.
