能用于同时经受磨料磨损和腐浊的场合，主要合金元素是铬和镍的一类合金钢。有三种类型:奥氏体不锈钢；马氏体不锈钢；铁素体不锈钢，退火态的硬度为HV180。一般在磨料磨损占优势的腐蚀磨损过程中，宜选用马氏体型不锈钢，在腐蚀占优势的腐蚀磨损过程中，宜选用奥氏体型的。铁素体不锈钢的抗腐蚀能力优于马氏体型而逊于奥氏体型，但其价格则低于奥氏体型。
