Explanation
The ability of a certain materials to resist wear under certain friction conditions is usually expressed as the reciprocal of wear amount or wear rate. wear resistance is not completely an inherent characteristic of materials, but a tribological system characteristic related to wear conditions (such as load, speed, temperature, etc.) and materials characteristics.
