Explanation
Also known as polyphenylene ether, polyphenylene oxide. It is a kind of heat resistant, amorphous, linear aromatic polyether resin, general engineering plastics, soluble and fusible. polyphenylene oxide has excellent mechanical properties, electrical insulation and flame retardancy, and can resist heat, water, acid, alkali, and chemicals. It can also maintain excellent tensile strength and creep resistance at high temperatures. polyphenylene oxide melt has poor flow ability and is seldom used alone. It is mainly used to form alloy with high impact polystyrene (HIPS), polyamide (PA), polyether imide (PEI), etc. It appears in the form of modified polyphenylene oxide (MPPO). As a structural materials, it is widely used in construction, automobile, precision machinery, electronics and electrical fields.
