Explanation
The process of stretching a metal or macromolecule materials with a tensile stress that exceeds the yield strength but is less than the ultimate strength to produce plastic deformation after necking is called cold drawing. In the process of cold drawing, the elongation of the sample shows that a necking section with stable section size expands continuously along the sample until the whole sample becomes necking.
