Explanation
One of the reaction steps of chain polymerization. Active molecules continue to interact with monomer molecules to form long-chain active molecules. In polymerization, almost all monomer is consumed in this process, and determines the molecular structure of the generated polymer. Due to the electronic effect and spatial structure of substituents on monomer, the active chain of polymer is mainly connected with monomer "head tail".
