Liquid phosphoric acid is used as the elonrolyte, usually located in the silicon carbide matrix. The operating temperature of bhosphoric acid fuel cell is slightly higher than that of proton exchange membrane fuel cell and alkaline fuel cell, which is about 150-200 ℃. However, platinum catalyst on the electrode is still needed to accelerate the reaction. The reaction on the anode and cathode is the same as that of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell, but because of its high operating temperature, the reaction speed on the cathode is faster than that of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell cathode.
