It usually refers to a kind of material used to improve the interface interaction or compatibility between polymer matrix and filler. The use of coupling agent can improve the dispersion of filler in polymer matrix and interface compatibility, and improve the apparent quality, physical and mechanical properties, electrical properties, thermal properties, optical properties, etc. Its dosage is generally 0.5% -2% of the filler dosage. According to the chemical structure and composition of coupling agent, it can be divided into silane, titanate, zirconium aluminate coupling agent, etc., of which silane and titanate coupling agent are most widely used. silicone coupling agent is a kind of coupling agent with the largest variety and amount of use at present. Its general formula is RSiX3, in which R represents amino, mercapto, vinyl, epoxy, cyano and methacryloyloxy groups. These groups have strong reactivity with different matrix resin, and X represents alkoxy groups that can be hydrolyzed (such as methoxy, ethoxy, etc.). It is mainly used for glass fiber reinforced plastics, polyolefin crosslinking and directly used for plastics, rubber polymer blending modification or tackifying.
