Also called flame welding. The method of weld is to use the flame formed by the combustion of fuel gas mixed with oxygen or air as the heat source. The most commonly used combustion gases are acetylene and propane (liquefied petroleum gas). The temperature of the oxygen acetylene flame can reach up to 315CTC. oxy-acetylene welding is most widely used. The productivity of oxygen propane welding is lower than that of oxy-acetylene welding, but it is more economical and safe. It is especially suitable for weld of thin plates or low melting point metals.
