Explanation

At high temperature, the materials, molten salt (mainly Na2SO) deposited on its surface and surrounding gas have a comprehensive effect to produce corrosion phenomenon. The hot corrosion of materials is characterized by porosity oxide and molten salt as the outer layer of the corrosion products. The secondary white layer is the oxide film - sulfides are present below the oxide film.
