A kind of shield sealing device for safe operation and observation of strong radioactive substances at a long distance: hot cell can be divided into two categories. The hot cell is composed of shield wall, liner, shield door, seal door, water and electricity supply equipment, ventilation system, lighting equipment, drainage system, observation device, remote control operating device, material transportation entrance and exit, etc. The side walls of the hot cell shall have sufficient shielding capacity. The materials used are concrete, steel, lead and water. The liner of the hot chamber wall shall be made of stainless steel, carbon steel, plastic plate, paint and other materials. The observation device can be a reflector, a viewing window, a periscope, and a television. In order to prevent diffusion and pollution of radioactive materials, the hot cell should be sealed and kept in a negative pressure state. The transfer of radioactive materials into and out of the hot cell can be realized by the transfer port set on the roof, wall or floor of the hot cell through the transport tank with shield. The hot cell is mainly used for the test of irradiated fuel and cladding materials, chemical reprocessing of spent fuel (nuclear) elements and irradiated targets, metallurgy research, radioisotope production and research of other high-level radioactive substances.
