Explanation
The opaque glassy covering layer on the ceramics body can cover the color and defects of the body. It is made by adding opacifier in the ordinary transparent glaze formula or by using the existence of phase separation, crystallization and gas phase in the sleeve layer. The greater the refractive index difference between opaque agent and vitreous body, the higher the degree of opaque.
