TATB, the scientific name is 1,3,5-triamino-2.4.6-trinitrobenzene, also known as trinitrometaphenylidyne triamine. The common code is TATB. One of the earliest heat-resistant explosive, yellow powder crystal. It turns green under sunlight or ultraviolet radiation, is non hygroscopic, and does not volatilize at room temperature. It sublimates at high temperature, and is insoluble in almost all organic solvents except concentrated sulfuric acid. It is slightly soluble in dimethyl amides and dimethyl sulfoxide at high temperature.
